Prescription
A compounded prescription option combining tadalafil, PT-141 (bremelanotide) and oxytocin, with ingredients that act through different pathways involved in sexual response.
Before you choose
- Sexual concerns can be influenced by hormones, medications, circulation, stress, relationships and other health factors.
- A treatment option should be considered in the context of the concern you want to address and your broader health history.
- Prescription options require licensed clinical evaluation before they are selected.
- Bring a current medication list and questions about expected use, safety, interactions and alternatives.
Treatment Details
Triple Action Blend is a compounded dissolvable tablet, called a troche, that combines tadalafil, PT-141 (bremelanotide) and oxytocin. The ingredients are intended to address different aspects of sexual response. The combination itself is not FDA-approved, and its safety and effectiveness have not been established.
Triple Action Blend combines three ingredients that work in different ways:
- Tadalafil — Blood Flow
- Helps improve blood flow involved in achieving and maintaining an erection when sexual stimulation is present. It does not increase sexual desire.
- PT-141 (Bremelanotide) — Desire & Arousal
- Acts on signals in the brain involved in sexual desire and arousal. Its effects in this compounded combination have not been established.
- Oxytocin — Connection & Bonding
- A naturally occurring hormone involved in bonding and reproductive processes. Researchers are exploring its potential role in sexual wellness, but benefits for sexual function have not been established.
The blend is supplied as a compounded troche that dissolves under the tongue. The prescribing clinician determines whether the formulation is suitable, explains individual instructions, and reviews cardiovascular health, current medications and any follow-up needs.
The three ingredients have different intended roles, but the combination has not been shown in clinical trials to reliably improve desire, erections, orgasm or overall sexual performance. Individual effects, absorption and side effects cannot be assumed to match FDA-approved single-ingredient products.
Tadalafil must not be combined with nitrates or riociguat, because blood pressure may fall dangerously. Other erectile-dysfunction medicines, blood-pressure medicines, alpha-blockers and alcohol may add risks. Seek urgent care for an erection lasting more than four hours or sudden vision or hearing changes. FDA-approved injectable bremelanotide (Vyleesi) is indicated only for a particular sexual desire disorder in premenopausal women, and its approval does not extend to this compounded troche. Its label warns about blood-pressure effects and other adverse reactions. Discuss all medicines and cardiovascular conditions with your prescriber.
- What concern is this blend intended to address for me?
- What do we know about the combined ingredients?
- Could my heart health or other medicines make it unsafe?
- What changes, if any, should I realistically expect?
- Which symptoms require urgent attention?
Important Information
Triple Action Blend is a compounded prescription medication. The finished combination is not FDA-approved, and FDA has not reviewed this specific compounded product for safety, effectiveness or quality. Tadalafil has FDA-approved uses that include erectile dysfunction, while FDA approval of bremelanotide applies to the Vyleesi injection for a specific form of HSDD in premenopausal women—not to this compounded troche. Oxytocin is not FDA-approved to treat sexual dysfunction.
