Radiance Acne Cream
Prescription topical
Radiance combines azelaic acid, clindamycin, tranexamic acid and tretinoin in a prescription cream for acne-related skin concerns and the appearance of post-acne marks.
Before you choose
- Start with the skin concern you want to address rather than choosing a formula by name alone.
- Prescription skin care should be considered with your skin history, current routine, tolerance and medical context in mind.
- A licensed clinician determines whether a prescription option is appropriate for you.
- Bring questions about ingredients, expected use, irritation risk and how the option fits with products you already use.
Treatment Details
Radiance is a compounded prescription cream combining ingredients used or studied for acne-related concerns and the appearance of post-acne marks.
Each ingredient has a different role in the formula:
- Azelaic Acid — Acne & Tone
- Used in certain acne, rosacea and pigmentation-related care.
- Clindamycin — Acne Bacteria
- An antibiotic used for some acne-related skin concerns.
- Tranexamic Acid — Uneven Skin Tone
- Being studied and used in some approaches to uneven pigmentation.
- Tretinoin — Skin Cell Renewal
- A vitamin A–related ingredient used in acne care that affects skin-cell renewal.
This treatment is intended for the skin. A licensed provider determines whether it is appropriate, where it should be used and what individual instructions or follow-up are needed.
Skin response depends on the type of acne or post-acne marks and individual skin sensitivity. The specific four-ingredient compounded formula has not been evaluated by the FDA for safety or effectiveness.
Tretinoin may irritate skin and should be avoided during pregnancy. Tell your prescriber if you have inflammatory bowel disease or prior antibiotic-related colitis: clindamycin can rarely cause severe diarrhea or colitis. Seek medical care for severe or bloody diarrhea.
